This is one of our copper alembics (pictured left) where all of our home distilled, small batch hydrosols are created.

The hydro-distillation process takes (on average) 8 hours and produces 1.5 - 2 gallons of pure, plant hydrosols in a slow drip, distillation.

As the plant material rises to a slow boil, the cell walls break down, freeing potent plant essences that rise into a thick vapor. In the distillation process, “micro-doses’ of essential oil molecules are “couched” in the full spectrum of water-soluble plant compounds.

These nutrient & mineral rich vapors travel to the “cooling coil” carrying all the volatile plant compounds & essential oils withing it.

As the plant-infused vapors cool, they condense into a silky, water-based “spirit” - an alchemical product that retains all the vital nutrients, plant compounds, and essential oils of the original botanical.

Voila! A hydrosol is born - a pure, truly “organic” product, carrying all of the nutrients and healing properties of the living plant - an aromatic, healing liquid containing all of the plant in every drop!
